Sevillian actor Paco León shared on Cadena SER his experience with Nicolas Cage on the set of The Unbearable Weight of a Talent (2022), a film in which the Oscar-winning American actor plays himself. During his appearance on the program A las bravas , the Andalusian actor revealed details about his role as a villain and the surprising situations he experienced working side by side with one of Hollywood's most eccentric figures.
During the interview, León confessed that he never imagined being on set with a star of Cage's caliber. "It feels like a victory to come out of it with dignity," he asserted. In this film, he shared scenes with Cage himself, Pedro Pascal , and Tiffany Haddish, and managed to integrate into a high-voltage cast with ease: "It was good to suddenly see me there shooting with these guys and you don't notice anything. I'm integrated."

The director of the upcoming film based on the Aida series also detailed Cage's demeanor behind the camera. He described him as "a very special man" and explained that his presence was so intense that it seemed "like he's someone who 's in legend mode 24/7 . That's very powerful, because the character is there all the time."
A wig and an ellipticalLeón illustrated this same perception with a scene in Dubrovnik , where they filmed during the lockdown: "It was 40 degrees, with no one on the street, and he was wearing his leather jacket saying: No photos, no photos ."
Another of the most unique anecdotes León shared involved a scene in which he had to remove Cage's wig while he was in prosthetics. The crew warned him that the actor's real hair was also delicate: "They told me, 'Be careful, because underneath the wig, his hair isn't his either.'"
León had to act with extreme caution, aware that Cage had previously undergone hair transplants. Furthermore, León emphasized the American actor's dedication to self-care, having installed an elliptical in his hotel room to stay in shape between takes. The national actor's anecdotes are on par with the living legend that the actor from Leaving Las Vegas and National Treasure has become.
